What is arm surgery?

An arm surgery, Brachioplasty or an arm lift, helps change the flabby aspect of the arms for a firm and slender appearance, leaving very minimum scars. Excess skin is reduced through this surgical procedure, locking the soft tissues and reducing excess fat. The final result is a pair of smooth arms that helps give a more slender aspect to the rest of your body.

Different factors such as, aging and weight fluctuation, tend to generate skin flab in this area which is also prone to generate grease fat deposits which are difficult to eliminate.

Laser LIpo

What is a Laser Lipo?

Laser Liposcupture, Laser-assisted Liposuction, Laser Lipolysis or Laser Lipo is a procedure used to correct irregularities and cases of disproportion in the body, which cannot be eliminated with diets, exercise or medical treatments.

The laser is a ray of light invisible to the human eye, specially calibrated to act on cells beneath the skin which contain fat. With this technology, the fat is broken down and transformed into oils which will later be eliminated through the urine or sucked up in cases where a great amount of Lipolysis (fat breakdown) is induced.

Some of the advantages of laser liposculpture over conventional liposuction are less bleeding and therefore less hematomas or bruises on your skin. In addition, the amount of inflammation is reduced, so there is less pain in the areas treated and the period of waiting before going back to your daily activities is shortened.

Laser-assisted liposuction stimulates the formation and remodeling of collagen and elastin fibers, effecting in the rejuvenation and retraction of your skin.

How is a Laser Lipo performed?

Laser Liposculpture lasts approximately one to two hours, depending on the area or areas to be treated. This type of Aesthetic Surgery allows the use of local anesthesia if the area is small.

After the anesthesia is applied, a small cut incision is made, through which the laser is introduced. It is then moved around until the volume of fat in the area is reduced.

At the end of the process, a compression garment will be put in place to avoid excessive inflammation and to accelerate the recovery process.

What are the risks of a Laser Lipo?

Laser-assisted Liposuction is so trustworthy that risks which might appear after it is performed are negligible. You will feel discomfort where the treatment was applied as if you had exercised.

An occasional hematoma could appear, much smaller than those seen in conventional Liposuction, or slight pain in the area treated, but this can be eliminated with any analgesic recommended by your doctor.

Laser Lipo is one of the simplest and most reliable forms of Plastic Surgery for obtaining the figure that you have always desired.

What is recovery like after a Laser Lipo?

After the operation you will need to wear a compression garment or an abdominal binder which will help avoid excessive inflammation and will accelerate the recovery process. This can be removed for bathing. The doctor will show you how to put it on and which other precautions to take.

At Salutaris we recommend that you carefully follow all the recommendations of your Plastic Surgeon. This will ensure the success of your operation.
